Two Hollywood star, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone will
re-united through a musical film. Studio Summit Entertainment (the label of
Lionsgate) officially announced that it will produce a movie called La La Land,
by director and writer Damien Chazelle, which last year was a great success
through the film Whiplash. The film is scheduled to air in mid-July 2016.
As reported by Collider, La La Land became one of the
featured films that Lionsgate output will be released within approximately one
year to the next. No further details of the La La Land, but based on the
synopsis, the movie takes the concept of the Hollywood musical in a modern way.
Gosling plays a role as Sebastian and Stone as Mia, both are united by their
occupations are equally loved. However, as the success achieved, the field work
was also that threatens to separate their relationship.
La La Land became one of the projects that attract attention
because of the reputation of the people involved in it. Gosling and Stone,
which had previously been paired in the romantic comedy Crazy Stupid Love
(2011), is equally star idol status ever nominated for an Oscar.
Likewise Chazelle the length movie debut, Whiplash took him
nominated screenplay and best director at the Oscars in 2015 (Whiplash itself
won three Oscars for Sound Mixing, Film Editing, and Supporting Actor for JK
Simmons).
In addition to La La Land, Lionsgate has also set a schedule
for the release of some excellent films in the United States. Ultra American
action film comedy starring Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg will be aired
in August 2015, Criminal with stars Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot release in January
2016, there is also Dirty Grandpa with stars Zac Efron release in February
2016.
Also announced two major projects Lionsgate will naturally
delay. Fantasy film Gods of Egypt arable Alex Proyas withdrew to April 2016,
and reboot the Japanese superhero adaptation, the Power Rangers will air in
January 2017.
